To become Miss Texas, a contestant must first win a local competition, a process requiring personal commitment, hard work and talent. More than twelve thousand young women participate each year in the local and state events, culminating in the selection of 51 national finalists who vie for the Miss America title.
Age & Education
(1) must be at least nineteen (19) years of age by December 31st of the year of the state competition (2023),
(2) Must not be older than twenty-six (26) years of age on December 31st of the year of the state competition (2023).
Must fulfill ONE of the following:
Must reside in the state of competition,
Or be enrolled in and physically attending classes on a full-time basis at an accredited college or university,
Or be employed on a full-time basis in the state in which she intends to compete.
Must be a citizen of the United States of America
The first thing we need is your entry form. Click above at the top of the page to open Entry Form. Fill in the information and then e-mail it back to me. You will need to mail a $100 check as a deposit payable to Ellis County Scholarship Organization or ECSO with this entry form to hold your spot in the pageant with the rest of your paperwork that you can get from this website at under Miss or Teen tab. Your check will be held until the day of the pageant. If you show up and compete, your check will be returned to you or shredded. If you drop out of the pageant, your $100 WILL BE deposited. 2023 Miss America & Miss America's Outstanding Teen Candidate Registration:
The 2023 Miss & Teen Candidate Registration Signup is up and running. All candidates competing for either Miss or Teen in the 2023 Season will register for the state they’re interested in.
Each Candidate (Miss & Teen) will register using the following link: (Please forward the below link to any candidate interested in competing in your local competition).
After a Candidate pays the $35 registration fee (Miss & Teen), the Candidate receives a receipt and the State Executive Director receives an email with the interested Candidate’s name and contact information. A candidate only pays the $35.00 registration fee once during the 2023 cycle.
The first step is to enter and win a local competition. Local competitions are held throughout Texas. Once you win a local title you qualify to advance to the Miss Texas Competition held each year in June at the Eisemann Center for Performing Arts in Richardson, Texas.
